Join VISTA in celebrating Latin Heritage Month with the acclaimed Puerto Rican theater group: Teatro Circulo!
Teatro Circulo will perform Alberto Adellach’s play, “Sabina y Lucrecia”. The play will be in Spanish with English subtitles. The performance is free and open to the public.
Sabina y Lucrecia is the story of two mental asylum escapees whose paths cross in an undetermined time and space; their coming together both strengthens and weakens them.
In a claim for dignity, characters escape to a world where it’s unclear if what prevails is the reality of their insanity or the insanity of their reality.
Background on Teatro Circulo:
“Founded over fifteen years ago, Teatro Circulo hails from New York City with the self proclaimed mission that states, “Teatro Círculo Ltd is a theater company founded by a group of Latin artists with a strong academic background committed to preserving and promoting our cultural heritage through the presentation of creative, inclusive and educational theater works. It is our purpose to expose the public to the best works of Spanish and Latin American playwrights, both contemporary and classical and in general, to foster an appreciation of the richness of Latin American and Iberian cultures in the context of the pluralism that characterizes NYC.”
